Dr. Nadine Ostern is a leader in research and designing trust strategies within data- and technology-driven environments, including areas such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and video analytics. She holds the Cisco Chair in Trusted Retail. In this position, she leads a team of researchers focusing on identifying contemporary trust opportunities that are enabled by technology across various industries, with a specific emphasis on retail and finance. Prior to her current role, Nadine held several academic positions in Europe, including positions at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, the Technical University of Darmstadt, and Bern University of Applied Sciences. She pursued her studies in Business Administration and Economics at Goethe University Frankfurt and the University of Freiburg in Germany. Her doctoral thesis, conducted at the University of Freiburg, focused on the topic of 'Distributed Ledgers for the Prevention of Accounting Fraud.' Nadine's research contributions have been published in prestigious academic journals such as Information & Management and Business & Information Systems Engineering. She is a regular presenter at renowned conferences in the field of information systems and management, including the International Conference on Information Systems, the European Conference on Information Systems, and the Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management
